Upchurch The Redneck – RHEC

Muddy Beatz Magazine Article – Oct. 4, 2014

“Upchurch the Redneck’s” personality has brought him tremendous amounts of success with his extremely funny video’s that have gone viral everywhere.  Upchurch admits that the explosion of support was a shock. He states it has been such an honor to meet so many great people and that he truly loves making people smile.

I would like to focus on another love of Upchurch’s and that is his music. Music has been a part of his life since high school. We spoke about comedy coming from personality but music stemming from interactions with people and circumstances along the way. Upchurch connects to the famous Outlaws of country like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams Jr. We both agreed that we were seeing a modern day Outlaw movement in the Country Rap/Rap genres with people like Struggle, Yelawolf, Big Chuk, and so many more.  I also came to realize with Upchurch the Redneck you get so much more than just a funny man. Upchurch is smart, educated, and defined with the direction he wants to go with his music. He wants to show kids music that encompasses the old combined with the new.

Upchurch has several songs on iTunes for purchase which include the smash “Raise Hell and Eat Cornbread” aka RHEC. Upchurch will be beginning a mini-tour starting in Caddo Valley, AR with Big Chuk on October 31st and then going to Georgia and Alabama.  Upchurch is always working on making music and entertaining fans. I have to say that talking with him, I gained a tremendous amount of respect for him in so many ways. We spoke about staying true to yourself whether things are going good or whether they are going bad. Be sure to keep your eyes open for future releases by “Upchurch the Redneck”
